The short version

Endacopia is light on traditional NPCs and heavy on surreal figures. This guide is spoiler-light: it tells you who each character is and why they matter, without revealing the story beats that are more fun to find yourself.

Mellow

The protagonist — a lost child who has lost all his senses and is trying to find a place to call home. You guide him (the "guardian angel") through the world. His room and the red-capped appearance are the game's visual anchor.

Clocky

The tutorial boss: a clock-monster with razor claws met in the bathroom. Clocky teaches the block/dodge/punch combat and sets the tone for later bosses.

Trageist

A named figure associated with one of the game's routes/endings (the "Trageist" rising search term). Role details stay light to avoid spoilers.

The Clown

Connected to the Circus area and the Hands recovery. The giant clown head, the whack-a-mole clowns, and the clown mouth are all part of this strand.

Chapter I residents

  • Catthew — a Chapter I character.
  • Beartha — a Chapter I character.
  • Boone — a Chapter I character (the Boone room-exit softlock was fixed in patch 1.06).
  • Roger — a Chapter I character (Saw Box 471 Roger is tied to an ending branch).

Boss- and ending-linked figures

  • Henry — the Yeti boss, tied to the "Ending A" uvula fight.
  • Mr. Bear — appears in the Timesville abandoned house story sequence.
  • Whiskers — a Timesville character whose dialogue gives an important clue.
  • The Jester — met in the Misery Town / Circus chapter and asks for your help.

How to read this list

Characters often reappear as puzzle givers or blockers rather than allies. Talk to them more than once — dialogue frequently changes after you recover a sense or solve a nearby puzzle.
